wppi) is an organization that supports photographers worldwide. we are proud to be members of this organization and greatly value their training and leadership in the world of professional photography. last week, philan and i attended the 30th annual wppi conference at the mgm grand in las vegas.  on saturday, we dropped off the older kids with grandparents and took colden brig on his first vacation. some of the instructors we learned from throughout the week were kirk voclain, jerry ghionis, jasmine star, kevin kubota, and justin & mary. we also spent a lot of time watching and listening to the 16x20 print competition which really opened my eyes on composition and lighting.  the trade show was spectacular.  we hooked up with two new amazing album vendors (both of which we are the exclusive studio showcasing their albums in the rockford area), a fine art paper company, a custom frame company, and spent too much time at the nikon booth.  we got to play around with nikon's newest D-SLR, the D3s, along with the 85 mm f/1.4 portrait lens, and everything else they have in their arsenal.  unfortunately, the weather was a bit grim and we were in classes all day, so we only got out onto the strip on wednesday afternoon. so we are back and working our butts off to bring you some new and exciting changes to white shutter.  keep informed, stay up to date, subscribe to our blog and give us some feedback... we'd love to hear what you're thinking.
