last year, katherine and andrew were joined together in a handfasting ceremony. this age old tradition began their journey to their wedding ceremony. high above the rock river valley, andrew and katherine came together as husband and wife in front of an intimate gathering of friends and family. during the ceremony, we took time to take in the four cardinal directions and their elements: air, fire, water, and earth. from there, we walked with nature through the byron forest preserve, spending time in the woods and ending up on a hilltop taking in the beautiful landscape and the fresh air. after snapping a few instamatic pictures, we  moved on to the brigg’s mansion. at brigg’s, we enjoyed a vegetarian feast before dancing the night away. katherine began her day in an amazingly colorful vintage gown and ended the evening in a sleek black cocktail dress. she was stunning. enjoy.
