brieana & umar
last week, i had no idea what a nikah ceremony was. as a matter of fact, i had never even heard the word nikah before. that changed last night when we shot brieana & umar’s first day of their wedding celebration. we were graciously invited into umar’s father’s house where we met family members from pakistan, australia, and all across the united states. we had front row seats, literally, to the muslim ceremony joining umar & brieana in their new lives together as husband & wife. after that, we were invited to stay for a traditional pakistani dinner. it was amazing. so here are a few slices of the evening, just enough to wet your apatite. we’re hungry for more… and later today, we’re heading to day two… enjoy.
