kristine was born and raised here… søren in denmark, which makes him a dane.  kristine and søren’s wedding was a joining of two people, two families, and two nations.  for us, it was a blast.  søren’s two children were so much fun to work with, they were constantly speaking danish right in front of us, i was wondering all day what they were saying.  we started off at immanuel lutheran church in belvidere where kristine’s nephew stole the show.  we stopped at belvidere municipal park for some fun in the shade (it was well over 90º on their wedding day…don’t you miss those days?).  we ended the day with an amazing reception at franchesco’s ristorante.  we were all tears during dad’s speech and then we laughed until it hurt when søren was lifted by his guys and his dad cut off his sock.  so we learned a little about some danish wedding traditions and a lot about love that day.  we hope you enjoy this glimpse into kristine & søren’s wedding day…
